Sunday August 1st, David Gangloff gave his life back to the Lord. The Lord called his name and he answered! Three days later, David went to be with the Lord. While we’re uncertain the exact cause, David went peacefully in his sleep. They played the song ‘Already Home’ by TFK at the funeral and I thought it was so appropriate! “I am on my knees, ’cause you’re everything I need! And I won’t run away ’cause I’m already home”.

Please be praying for David’s wife and family.

Girls Night

My friend Holly moved to CA at the beginning of this year and is town for a visit. Tuesday night we went to Dancing Wasabi for dinner. Then Thursday a few of the girls got together for dinner and chatting. Holly frequently referred to CA as “home”, so I have a feeling that means she isn’t planning to come back here

Elliot is the only man who gets to join our girls night.

Such A Big Girl…

My niece had to give up her binky’s this past weekend. My sister used the same method that she did with Macy when it was time to give hers up. She told her that they were going to Build A Bear and she would get a new bear but have to throw her binky’s away.

Callie mentally preparing to give her binky’s away. My sister said she sat there for a little while not wanting to go in; knowing what was coming…

Once in the store, she knew she had to throw them all away… such a big girl!

She went on the hunt for her new stuffed animal… and she spotted him!

She found her bunny! She was more interested in driving him around than finding clothes for him!

She is so cute! Here is a pic of the 3 kids. The baby doesn’t like binky’s so my sister won’t have to break him of it. Guess he doesn’t get a bear (or bunny). PS – they’re Old Navy babies…

Revelation 2:3-5

You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

Think of your spouse or significant other… What was it like when you first met? Did you want to spend all the time you could with them? Did you stay up late talking for hours about nothing at all? Did you have that ‘glow’ and excitement about you that you just HAD to share with everyone else when they asked you why you were so happy? That first love is the greatest!

I remember when I first decided to give my life to God. I was reading the Bible and praying for hours a day. I talked about it all the time to everyone I came in contact with. I would be so excited to go home from work and get in the Word, or to take my lunch in a quiet area where I could sit and read the Bible.

I remember being broken when I thought about all of the things I had done in my past; and how thankful I was for God’s grace and mercy.

Today I feel like I am always too busy to do anything. I heard someone say ‘if you’re too busy for God, then you are too busy’. It is SO true! There are some days I feel like I have to make an effort to spend time with the Lord. It shouldn’t be that way. I should have that desire… that first love to do the things I did at first.

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings!

This past weekend Chad and I went to another wedding. In two weeks, we have a wedding on Satuday and then another one on Sunday! I am still extrememly happy, but when I go to weddings, it reminds me of that giddy-happy attitude I had that day! I am the luckiest girl ever! Chad is the most amazing husband and I am SOOO Blessed to have him! Here are some pictures from the wedding this past weekend! Congratulations Andrew and Carly!
